Do you have any practitioners you recommend?
Over the years I have found that no practitioner has all the answers. I have followed many, and disagreed with many. Most of even the most skilled practitioners disagree on things. I do have those that I look to for advice and information though. I have included a list in my resources page.
Where do I start?
I know embarking on a holistic lifestyle can be an overwhelming task. I am currently working on a page that will have some basic starting steps for those just starting out. For now, my biggest recommendations are cleaning up your beauty products, your foods, and your water. Your food has such a huge effect on your health, so removing processed foods, excess sugar, and anything artificial will make an impact. In regards to water, getting a GOOD water filtration system that removes fluoride (Brita filters do not do this) or at the very least get a filter that removes chlorine (if your city or county uses chloramines, then even a chlorine filter won't help sadly).
What do you use for…?
This is the plan I have for this blog. I want to have posts for most everything I use. However, that is a process. If you have a specific question, send me a note and maybe it will be my next blog post.
I do have my favorite post partum products listed here
What is your background?
You can read more about me in the "About Me" section. I am a mom with a passion for living holistically. I actually have a degree in accounting but I was pressured in school by my honors biology instructor to major in biology...haha! I love biology and I considered that class my "fun" class in college.
I started my journey when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. I have since studied, researched, and continued to make our home as organic as possible. I also had both of my girls via natural birth (one at a birth center and one at home). After my first birth, I also became a certified doula. I am very passionate about birth and babies!
